TCI- SOCIAL STUDIES ALIVE! REGIONS OF OUR COUNTRYStudents this year will be studying the regions of the United States using curriculum from TCI (Teacher Center Institute). This curriculum has been developed using a series of instructional practices through step-by-step discovery that allows students of all abilities to experience key social studies concepts. Students will engage these key concepts through reading of text, articles and graphics, note taking skills and development of essential vocabulary and simulation of activities that builds cooperative learning skills. They will record their thinking in an interactive student journal.
