General Classroom Information:
Communication- Friday Folders will come home each Friday with classroom, school, district and community news. Your child's work for the week will also be included. Emails will be sent to you throughout the year with information, reminders and classroom updates. I will send information home via email to the address listed on your child's emergency card. If you prefer another email address, please send me an email to [email protected]. I will also send text updates and daily information via Remind. Please sign up for that service.
Homework Folder/Planner - Your child will be using a homework folder. This folder needs to be brought home and returned to school on days that homework is assigned. Each day students will bring home a planner with an academic update and homework information. This will communicate to you our learning that day, of any evening homework and/or project reminders. Please honor your child's hard work by engaging in a conversation about his/her day.
Homework- If there is a long-term project, I will send home an information sheet with details and requirements. Daily homework will only be assigned if your child has not had a chance to complete at school, and he/she would like the chance to finish at home. Homework may be assigned if it aligns specifically to a skill in which your child would benefit from practice. Please develop a routine for this process. It is imperative that your child read to you, with you, or independently each evening. Enjoy this time.
Snack/Water- Please send your child with a nutritious snack each day. I ask that the first two ingredients of the snack not contain sugar. I would love your child to have a water bottle with them each school day. Please have your child’s name on it. It should come home every evening.
